Garrett Jones
Garrett runs Orchard Aviation Capital, a private investment fund focused on monetizing end-of-life aviation assets. Prior to launching Orchard, he spent nine years as an analyst at Greenlight Capital, a long/short hedge fund in New York, reporting directly to founder David Einhorn.
Immediately after CBS, Garrett worked as an analyst at Nicusa Capital, a micro-cap activist hedge fund in New York. Prior to business school, he was a Senior Consultant in the Dallas and Dubai offices of Booz & Company, a management consulting firm. Garrett started his career as a Research Associate at the Institute for Information Infrastructure Protection, a research lab funded by the Department of Homeland Security.
Garrett is originally from Beaumont, Texas. He graduated with honors from Dartmouth College in 2004, double-majoring in Music and Computer Science. At Columbia Business School, he was Co-Editor of Graham & Doddsville (the school’s value investing newsletter), winner of the 2010 Pershing Square Investment Competition, and a member of the Dean’s List. He is an Eagle Scout, has a Black Belt in Karate, and enjoys hiking and scuba diving.
