Louis Verdi
Louis is currently an investment analyst at a London-based single family office with a portfolio of public and private market investments across sectors, geographies and stages of development.
Prior to Columbia Business School, Louis was a Vice President at Barclays Investment Bank, moving from London to New York following the firm’s acquisition of Lehman Brothers to assist with the subsequent integration, and completing the CFA and CAIA programs.
At CBS, Louis focused on Finance and was teaching assistant for the Advanced Corporate Finance, Finance & Sustainability, and Value & Special Situation Investment courses. He continues to develop knowledge of key themes impacting the investment management industry, including data and AI, and sustainability and climate risk, via the FDP and SCR programs, respectively.
An advocate for nature, Louis is engaged in a local community response to protect for future generations the English countryside he grew up enjoying. He also serves as an active board member for a cooperative in Manhattan and aims to leverage his experience at Urban Green Council to contribute to the building’s sustainable future. He seeks balance in life through yoga and meditation, athletic and creative pursuits, and time in the natural world.
